How far is the beach?

Sea Point is a beachside suburb so you'll be right by the beach. Accommodation is usually within walking distance or just a short drive from the beach.

Sea Point's beach is not a popular spot for swimmers but, it is a lovely spot to have a picnic or sunbathe.

What sort of accommodation is available?

In recent years there has been a lot of investment in the area which has led to many older buildings being restored to their former glory. Apartments have stylish and modern finishes.

High rise apartment blocks are popular in Sea Point and often has views of the ocean or mountain.

Are there any restaurants nearby?

Sea Point offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and bistros that will cater to everyone's tastes. You can expect to find cuisine from exotic locations. Whatever your taste is you're bound to find it at a restaurant in Sea Point.

Are there any shopping malls nearby?

The Adelphi Centre in Sea Point is ideal for all of your shopping needs. It's easily accessible right on the main road with all the shops you need. The anchor stores at Adelphi Shopping Centre are Pick n Pay and Clicks for all of your grocery shopping and pharmacy needs.

What are the attractions in Sea Point?

The Sea Point Promenade is a popular spot for joggers, strollers or dog owners on a walk. It was one of Sea Point's most famous attractions.

In Summer the Sea Point Pavilion is a favourite for visitors of all ages. There's two splash pools for children and an Olympic sized swimming pool with a spring board.

Will transport be available?

As of 2014 the Myciti bus route runs through Sea Point and connects the area with Camps Bay, the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town city bowl. Myciti offers a convenient affordable service to travellers.

Will I be close to the wine route?

The Spier Wine farm in Stellenbosch is only 45KM away and will take you about 40 minutes to get there depending on the traffic. Take your family out for the day and enjoy some yummy South African wines.

I've heard of Ratanga Junction Theme Park. How far away is this?

Ratanga Junction is just 15KM away from Sea Point. By car it will take you only 20 minutes to get there. You can also make use of the Myciti bus service to get you there.

How far is Cape Town's CBD?

Cape Town's City Bowl is just 4KM away and will only take you 8 minutes to drive there. For a quick trip, take a Myciti bus, it will cost you about R5.

How far away is Cape Town International Airport?

The Airport is 22KM away and will take you about 25 minutes to get there depending on the traffic. From their main station in Cape Town, you can catch a Myciti bus direct to Cape Town International Airport.
